We exist in a modern age. The distinctions between naturalism and technology are fading, and a newfound fusion is taking place. Living in a technologically saturated environment, our surroundings inevitably infiltrate into the realm of the internal self. I view technology not as the antitheses of individual spirit, but rather an extension of means through which to express it.

Through the use of light I create work with an internal life and a sense of time. As light varies with passing hours, the piece transforms as well, mimicking in a more dramatic sense the natural rhythms of nature. Combining traditional painting material and non-traditional technological materials I attempt to create a synthesis between the two, which proves transformational for the viewer.
